The exhibition combines sculptural elements and graphic design: Two fans animate some dry cut straws enclosed in the large display of the gallery, creating a permanently mutating configuration of parts. The front glass is covered by a black flat shape, reminiscent of a drapery of a baroque sculpture.
Is it the dynamism of air flow is contrasted with the flat lifelessness of graphic design, even if it attempts to depict life-like dynamic forms? Or could it be the other way around? Maybe the mechanic fans, dangling unnaturally from the ceiling and attempting to animate the dead refuse scattered across the display at best achieve an illusion of liveliness, while the black and white drawing, in itself flat and primitive, animates our thoughts and creates a movement in our mind that is experienced much more strongly than the sight of moving yet dead objects.
