Gerald Nestler: 2010 stock flash crash, quantitative investment funds, algorithmic trading. The spread (buy/sell) is getting thinner and thinner: moving towards stability, but at the equilibrium point markets crash because of the smallest push.
Gabriele Gramelsberger: Biotechnology, DNA coding/printing and growing your own schnitzel without killing an animal.
Risk, volatility, equilibrium (when achieved system collapses), underlying: probability.
Financial markets produce risk (quantified uncertainty we can talk about). Promise: the more risk options we trade, the more we can say about the future.
Trump strategy: Use his power to be the source of uncertainty (unknown unknowns). Through that he can control the markets, control the imagination of the future.
Emotion analysis based on face recognition: machine decides how people feel and acts accordingly.
Power used to be representative, now it is becoming performative. It is visible in action, not in representation. We need to develop new sensitivities towards this situation.
