The corner window display was emptied of all contents for this exhibition and a large flat screen TV on a movable stand was placed inside. The monitor was flickering and some kind of violet-red-blue image was being played back. I imagined I saw some machinima movie with an urban landscape and fish swimming around in it. But the image was not very clear and mixing constantly with the reflection of the surrounding buildings as can be seen on the photograph. I was also not sure about the colors, whether it has been intentional or whether it was simply due to a technical failure that cut out the green channel of the video and only displayed the reds and blues.

While the previous exhibit by Abbas was quite well attuned to the space, the situation was more complicated this time. I am guessing the artists attempted to make use of the window reflections, resulting in a combination of the video and the surrounding landscape, but this was a very tricky premise. In the end the exhibit appeared mostly like an abandoned malfunctioning monitor, a kind of coincidental rather than intentional “glitch art”.
