Imi Knoebel: Sommer (1984)
This was a great collection of German art, yet what lead the gallery to re-stage the same collection in a scaled-down version again in a resized, smaller space of the same gallery, right after the original exhibition has been finished? Rather than an exhibition, this seemed like a space filler in between other shows, while more private view space has been needed to conduct Christmas and Chinese New Year Sales.
Anyway nice to see these German all stars. Baselitz, Koebel, Polke, Tobias’, Tockel, Förg, etc. all were still there. Check out the nice on-line catalogue.
